Space Invaders - Play Space Invaders probably the first
super block buster video game to gross hundreds of millions
of dollars worldwide. Designed by Toshihiro Nishikado and
released in 1978 by Taito in Japan in the form of a upright
cabinet arcade game. It was originally in monochrome but
color was later added by the U.S. distributor Midway
(Bally). Space Invaders later invaded the home in the means
of a cartridge for the Atari 2600!
