I'm a new eg owner coupe w/b16 very soon

ok so i just bought a 95 eg coupe(i dont realy like coupes but you deal with it right) its a light purpleish color. completely stock, dx trim.
paid 500 for it, needs a new motor.
well it just happened that i have a b16a3 out of a delsol so i bought it and should get started ripping it apart tonight and hope to have it running by next weekend.

so if anyone has any swap tips that might come in handy please let me know.

as far as i know it should be a straight up swap, i hope.

ok so my b16 is 75% complete all i have left to do is plug in all my conectors and heater/coolant lines clutch line, shifter linkage, and drivers side axle(the cvjoint needed to be reset in its home and i need to fid something to clamp the boot back down) plug in my ecu and run vtec wires.

i've never had to run the vtec wires so if any one can help me out here i would realy appericate it.

i realy dont like the paint/color so im asking this
if you were me would you
a) polish the crap out of it and make it look good agian

b) fix the body work and repaint it somthing different(give examples)

c) rattle can it flat black(cheapest and easiest way)

d) pay someone else to repaint it or polish it

 

thats a sleeper and a half. i say have someone else paint it. if u rattle can it then u will be a ricer for sure:badidea:

 

DONT PAINT OVER THE HORIZON GREY METALLIC! That color looks really good actually once you have the car all put together. As far as wiring vtec I am of no use to you Anyways glad to see another coupe owner! Screw an eg, theyre Playyed out mang. Good luck with it, keep us posted!!

i'm not to fond of the color but i know it could look nice if i put in the effort, i just need to find the time and then buy the stuff for it, like wet sand paper and poshling compound and a hi-grade buffer. i might look good then but time will tell.

as far as plans for it go i dont want to do alot with it, it needs a new fornt bumper but i think i'll go stuck with it and keep my lip maybe some jdm fogs and i want a back window spoiler and spoon/vision style mirors, it needs more power i havent even driven it yet and i already want more.
and i dont even know what to do as far as wheels go, if anyone has some to sell let me know.

but as for now some v/r rated tires and alot of speed on the autobahn and i'll be happy, for a little while anyways.

all i have left to do is wire the vtec
but i'm haveing a problem finding where the harrness goes to the engine bay from the inside of the car

and the vtec is working well
i like it its fast

Looks like a good start, now ditch those misplaced stickers and slam it! Running wires around the fender is a no no by the way, but other than that good job on the swap

 

i didnt run that wire btw it was there when i baught the car its the amp wire for a very small bass tube but rest assured that it will be fixed

and about the stickers i was understanding that those were in the right place i baught them for my ef and thats where they go on the ef so i thought it would be kind of like a decal throw back if i put them there on the eg

 

my next project is to clean the inside all of the carpets and pass. seat need to be shampo. and then theres the spare tire cover thats covered in mold its nasty

 

sweet lil project. once its up and goin it should be pretty quick.
