im about to check out a black 98 gsr with 71k great condition aem cai and greddy evo2 on it..everything else stock. asking price is 5k..he is going to meet me at my uncles house whom is a mechanic..wondering if 5k sounds good for this car? if so im gonna pick it up today cause im sure it wont last very long... get back to me...thnx edit: my uncle is going to make sure everything is good on the car.
Go to www.cars.com and www.autotrader.com and search for Integras for sale. If you are really looking for cars to buy I'm sure you have found others for sale, is this one a lot cheaper than the others? Chances are there is something wrong with it.
no it,s around the same range..little more than most. just has the fewest miles..a gsr with 71k is hard to come by. i can post the link if you wanna check it out
Since you uncle is a mechanic and doing a PPI for you, it would be better to take his recommendation than posters here for obvious reasons. Hope it turns out great.
yea he said it was alright but he and i could both smell anti freeze with the hood up. i don't think im going with it.. something just seems not right about the ower..he keeps getting alot of his info and background stories twisted up..also appears to have been broken in to..door's loose inside and didn't open up very well. he also said something about the way the oil was jumping when the car was on and he had the cap off.
coolant smell could be from a loose hose or one thats needs to be replaced...and make sure its just not the seals sticking...my GSR seals stick at times due to the weather etc... but ultimately its your call...before i buy any car i take it to this one shop and have them throw it on a lift and be uber anal and inspect the car....
