So, Hirano Tire modified the factory Bilstein dampers to lower only 15mm, which equates to .5 in (half of an inch). IMHO I don't think it's worth buying that (equals to $500 USD) when you can get this http://www.gtrblog.com/index.php/2008/02/02/mcr-going-with-endless-zeal-suspension-o?blog=4 Zeal suspension.

Anyways, thought it was kinda interesting when Nissan stated that you cannot modify the motor, trans, ecu and ride height.

While definitely not the first workshop to do this, Hirano Tire have taken a few photographs of how they have modified the standard Bilstein Damptronic suspension on their Nissan GT-R to give a 15mm lower ride height. You can see in the photographs they have machined a groove in the shocks which when fitted with a C-Ring stops the springs from extending all the way.

Hirano Tire are now offering this service to customers for 52,000 yen.
