A simple video showing the importance of a strut tower bar. For those who don't have one, please buy one. oke: <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/m4KgS8ertHU&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/m4KgS8ertHU&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
very basic, but it does explain the importance of chassis bracing using simple terms. I have never owned a FSTB or RSTB on any of my vehicles (that i've really driven hard). But, from many people, they say they cannot feel the difference. Though I don't think those people track their cars, drive them hard, or even look to get anything out of it besides cosmetic appeal. I would have liked to see a pro driver (Kazama, Orido, Yamada) go full out for a few laps doing a study both with, and without, the STB. (similar to the FD3S video of wingless, stock wing, and GT wing) Another thing to keep in mind, the reason for this video is to sell Cusco STBs. So take the info with a grain of salt.
well we have the MLS copy bar the MLS bar was sold in Japan and when someone got there hands on 1 the coppied it for our Legend 91-95 sedan and coupe. i know its safer then our standard bars! 1. MLS copy bar. 2. How the bar fits on our cars. 3. After a bad wreck in a legend coupe with the bar on. Now i went to go and help the fourm member as i was the closet to him when this happend and the strut tower bar was the only holding the motor in anf to me it also kept the front in from folding in on him!
i also wonder how big the differences are between something solid like the Carbing bar, and something like that Cusco (hinged)
the carbing bar would be better there seems to be no weak spots the cusco with that bolted area would be a weak spot if hit hard enogh!
