Hey guys, Here's some photos of my 1993 Toyota Corolla SE Limited. It's a JDM model, so came with power windows, power folding mirrors, central locking, wind deflectors, climate air conditioning etc. Basically all of the stuff you'd expect to see in a Japanese vehicle. It took me a while to find an SE Limited model in 5-speed, and it was completely standard when I bought it, but I've owned it for 3-years so far and have done quite a few modifications since then, including adding a number of rare optional extras. The mods so far are: Engine: * Replaced engine with 60,000km 5A-FE 16v DOHC. * Full 2" exhaust with Dynomax muffler and 2x resonators. * Custom 3" cold air intake (CAI) with Simota pod filter. * Header and front pipe (4-2-1). * Removed the catalytic converter. * TRD spark plug leads. * Painted valve cover red. * Chrome Simota oil cap. * Oil catch can. Exterior: * OEM AE101 FX-GT front bumper & aftermarket lip. * Genuine OEM Koito Toyota BZ Touring headlights. * BMW M3 trunk lip spoiler. * Aftermarket fibreglass sideskirts. * 35% "Night Rider" window tint. * 17" Advanti Photon alloy wheels (Hyper Silver). * Rolled rear fenders. * Rear bumper lip painted. * 'SE Limited' and 'Toyota' badges removed. Interior: * Toyota Corolla GT seats + folding rear seat conversion. * AE101 FX-GT SuperStrut Momo leather steering wheel. * OEM Lexus IS200 aluminium foot pedals. * Leather gear shift cover. * Rare OEM factory option 'For Your Life Scene' storage drawer. * Ultra-rare OEM factory option 'Air Fantasy' fragrance control system. * Rare OEM factory option rear-mounted Air Purifier unit. * Rare OEM factory option roof-mounted Air Purifier unit (Clean Ace). * Rare OEM factory option motorised driver's seat rail. * Rare OEM factory option key light. * Rare OEM factory option floor-well lights. * Rare OEM factory option velour extended armrest. Brakes/Suspension: * Lowered on Jamex springs. * TRD 3-point strut brace. * Monroe GT Reflex gas shocks. * Resurfaced front disc brakes. * Bendix brake pads. Audio: * Sony Xplod USB head-unit. * Sony Xplod 6.5" 4-way front speakers (75w RMS each). * 6.5" 3-way rear speakers (95w RMS each). * Sony Xplod 4-channel 444w amp. Comments very welcome!!!
Welcome to JDMC.. love the car!!! never see that model done up right and your looks absolutely perfect!!! suppper clean and simple.. yet it has such character.. love the awesome and unique JDM mods.. love to see a nice unique car like yours.. keep up the good work and enjoy the site!
Thanks! I've been a member here for almost a year, so figured it was about time I shared some pics of my ride . Glad you like what I've done to it so far. My plan was to enhance the car's appearance by using as many OEM parts as possible, without drastically changing the car's appearance and making it unrecognisable upon first glance. I'm very happy with how far it has come over the last 3-years, and I look forward to many more years of ownership Thank you. Definitely needs more power. The plan is to do a 4A-GE 20v Blacktop swap, which will most likely be a finishing touch for the car. Looking forward to when that day arrives Cheers Daniel . I try to keep it looking as clean as possible at all times.
Decided to take my Corolla for a few photos at an underground parking lot today. Then when I got home I noticed that the tide was in across the road from my place, so zapped over there and took one more photo
That looks so good. I've been wanting a Corolla sedan for a daily. I think you just pushed me over. lol. Only improvement would be a 20v or BEAMS swap. Otherwise perfect.
Great to hear!! The Corolla sedan has a lot of potential and will never let you down. An ideal car if you ask me, but my opinion is biased Found out yesterday that my Corolla has made 'Showoff of the Week' on CarDomain this week, which was very cool to hear :woot: Here's the link: http://www.cardomain.com/sotw In other news, my spare roof-mounted Air Purifier arrived from the Philippines today. I bought it just for the plastic filter cover because the one I have currently installed was missing that piece. Planning on keeping the rest of the unit for spare parts in case I ever need it. Here's some pics of my air purifier now 100% complete:
My OEM optional extra 'Burger Tray' arrived from overseas this morning. Took me ages to find one in plum to match the rest of my interior plastic. They're hard to find at the best of times, but getting one that was plum in colour was a mission. Got there in the end though . Here's some photos - The first one being from the original sales brochure and the rest of the actual item:
Went to Burger King today and bought a Triple Cheeseburger so I could use the Burger Tray for it's intended purpose
This arrived a couple of hours ago - An OEM multi-box (optional extra). I swapped it with a friend in Indonesia for my 'For Your Life Scene' storage compartment that I had in there previously. Was eager to install it straight away so here's some pics:
your's is probably the cleanest of that generation of Corolla that I've seen ever in my life. Keep up the good work.
Latest addition - A rare OEM JDM Clean Box (optional extra). Been looking for one of these for a long time (particularly one that's plum in colour) so it's good to finally have one:
thats awesome!! love how u have almost all the optional stuff for that car!! looks great! so thats like a trash box?
