..well not slammed slammed, but was wondering, how low can you go on 17's before you really start rubbing fender liner? thinking of getting some teins ss or other coilovers and wanting to just tuck a wee bit. currently have h&r race and have 1.5 finger gap.

anyone have pics of sols dropped on 17s? i know ive seen some run 18s

    thanks

My friend had a first gen miata that was hella slammed on the stock fourteen's painted bronze. We ended up putting 17's on it and just cut out the inner fenders so it could stay that low. Here are some before and after pics, maybe that can help you out!

Literally low as balls lol (pool balls):

    Now with the 17's:

IMO Del Sols and NA Miatas shouldn't have wheels bigger than 16"

i think JussHatched and I share the opinion that those wheels look terrible, other than being too big

true dat, they were too big. i wasn't a big fan and obviously like i said it wasn't my car... but for $300 with decent tires from a friend. i don't think they were a bad deal!

hondabseries - thanks for the pics!

i think 17s on a sol only look good if you have a full bodykit.. but if your running a lip kit or something similar (eg oem sides + sir lip..) then i agree, 15's and 16's will do. just wanted opinions, will be going the 16" route!

    thanks!

im sure youll like the look of your car more on the 16's as well :rocks:

just make sure you get a decent offset and go with 205/45/16 tires ;)

^ agreed.. was leaning towards that tire profile as well. but what offset do you recommened?

i really like your mf10 set, did the white mf10's come in 16's as well?

as far as offset goes, it depends on how low you wanna go..for instance, if you wanna tuck tire, too low of an offset will cause you to rub and youll soon be annoyed..

anything between +38 to +43 should still look good..

my MF10L's were the only MF10's Mugen made in 4x100 lug pattern and were a limited production wheel, hence the L after MF10..and only came in 15" as well..my MF10L's are 15x7 +40 btw

and Mugen did make 16" MF10's but those only came in 5x114.3..

cool, thanks for the info on the wheels! always wanted to know. never knew the 16's were only 5x114..but now that you mention it i see them all that way..

still debating if i should do a 'jdm style' wheel like mugen, sprints, etc..or just any wheel style..
