5spd swap

    A friend of mine has asked me to do a 5spd swap on his 96 accord lx non-vtec. how much do these trannys usually run? Any suggestions on how to make the process smoother? took about 8 hours on a mustang so i know im in for a good days work.

    well you're going to want to make sure that you have all the parts that you're going to need;

    trans
    trans mount
    hydro master cylinder [clutch]
    hydro lines
    slave cylinder [clutch]
    speed sencor
    shift cables
    shifterbox [in center console]
    manual pedal set

    after you get all that it's pretty straight forward. just make sure that you have the proper tools and at least 2 jacks [f trans are heavy]

    as for how much they go for? not much considering not many people want them :ermm:

    /\ pretty much. I'll sell a premium F22B1 tranny. make me an offer.

    and BTW, H22 LSD trannies are rediculously heavy. the LSD unit is 25lbs, by itself.

    ok, ill ask him. dont really know how much he wants to pay. Dont you also have a Eibach Pro-kit? I think he was wanting some of those springs for his car too. Anyway, ill talk to him later this afternoon and ill get back with you.
