"Honda DOHC VTEC B-series engine in a US-spec Honda. Smooth and powerful, with a high redline, the B16A3 is the same powerplant found in the Civic Si-R. This trim level came with bigger brakes, rims, and tires to handle the extra power, but finding these for sale now is rare."

It doesn't matter because that's power rated at the flywheel. What matters is the power to the wheels.

    agreed :)

but 170 hp b16's had a 10.4-1 compression ratio vs 160 hp at 10.2-1. higher compression is potental for more wheel hp

by the way jdmeg6-love the avatar

hey guy's im new on here but...from what i have found is that the j-spec and euro(canada) spec motor's such as the (B16a2 (SiR2) has 170 hp and 114tq vs USDM 160hp and 110tq. but correct me if i am wrong. but the motor i got is from Hmotor's online is a 96-98 J-spec B16a2(SiRII) obd2 complete change over, has 170hp and 114tq. with 10:4:1 compression but what would the whp be? also the euro and jdm b16's etc..motor's came with a 5speed or automatic transmission option. but i didnt see the 96-98spec SiR a2 on the post earlier so i thought i would mention it.

    Later Guy's
