I bought these brand new 4 piston Brembo calipers for an open wheel car, but have gone a different route. These have the part # 20.8662.00 and the BREMBO rep said they are for an import based on the dimensions of the pistons I told him. He said they are factory installed BREMBO calipers, but could not specify what vehicle. Here are a few pics...If anyone knows what these go to please let me know and I may able to cut someone a great deal. I am not going to lie....I ran out of options on finding out what they went to and this is my last ditch effort for some help in finding out what they fit. Thanks
dont look like 350z brakes. they look like DC5-R brakes. but not exactly... not evo 8.... not Sti the porsche 911 brembo's say "porsche" on them... damn, i cant find anything man why doesnt the rep tell you?
Viper Calipers are Brembo but they have the "Viper" logo Not Cadillac "V" Brembos Not Ford Brembos Not Land Rover Brembos Could be Fiat or Alfa Romeo Fiat Coupe'?
Rep said that they could call the factory, but no-one ever answers the phone cause no-one can hear it. I was like wtf? I am completely baffled at this point. The distance between the bolt hole for mounting is 4-3/4", they do fit the rotor on my 13" cobra brakes, but do not fit the spindle. Also the pistons are too small imo for my mustang to use.
I tried looking but the only #s that i found was for the whole kits The rep should be able to tell you, no doubt. sounds like he just dont want to bother with it and is trying to give you some screwball reason for not trying!! GL, ill try and search some more.
well i sent them an email and i told them what you said and asked if they could help hopefully they can and i will tell you what they say
Man, you guys are really helpful over here....I really mean that too. The guys on corral.net have just been like "you got screwed, unload em'" or otherwise. Guys on svtperformance laughed and said good luck. Sad thing is that I have been in the mustang community for 16+ years and have owned 7 svt vehicles (3 SVT Lightnings, 1 SVT Contour, and 3 SVT Cobra's) Go figure? I will seriously cut someone a killer deal if they can help me find out what they go to...that is if they are interested. Just trying to be honest here. Thanks again.
we take pride in being the nicest forum on the net, we help everyone out as much as we can im apart of the mustang community as well: 1987 coupe, 1989 hatch, & 1965 Shelby GT350  and welcome to the site btw and still looking. not the G35 brakes... does nissian use the same brembo setup on the G35 as they do on the 350z?
not Pantera's either but close EDIT: so thought that i had found them lol Whats the part # on the brake pads? maybe we could trace it that way
well since i emailed brembo hasnt responded and i am not happy at all cuz i have always recommended brembo to others and this is making me have second thoughts
I appreciate that, but they actually do not. The mounting bracket for the GT500 has a flat piece across the bottom and the piston sizes are MUCH larger than the ones I have. Plus they only come in black. Here are some other pics in another post I have
no response from brake world either this suks! shows alot about brembo's customer service! ill keep trying but im running out of areas to look
I finally talked to a representative from Brembo. They were very nice and somewhat helpful. They said that just like the SRT-8 Brembo calipers, they very well may be manufactured for and by the manufacturer. They said there are thousands of calipers out there that carry their name, but they cannot trace every single set. The casting number will not justify what the calipers go, but she did give me a contact number for a guy in Miami who may recognize what the application is based on the brake pads.
