car for under 6K...I need suggestions

Well from the long talk with my parents..I wont be getting the 04' S2K (yeah im really pissed), just becasue my parents are planning on spending $300,000 on a house and my mom is getting her new truck(i beleive the 04 QX56 or 07 suburban) so yeah they need the extra cash but im still promised a car but no more than $6,000 my dad said the 4K range will be even better so yeah does any one have any suggestions for a good car that has tuning potential, that looks good stock , and runs...

Even though the cars listed above are probably the best for the money because of parts availability, if you wanna be unique try to find a 1992 or 1993 Mitsubisihi Galant VR-4 or any ST165 or ST185 Toyota Celica All-Trac Turbo. Oh and there is always the AE86 or AE92

 

there are tons of civics to choose from but my pic would be for a RWD car like the ones listed above. rwd is so much more fun. a s13 would probly be my pic.

 

Basically go Honda or nissan

 

Man i would love an AE86 and the AE92 is okay......hows insurance on these cars?? does any have like any estimates or guesses?

 

well i was close to the S2000 , but i want a prelude but then at the same time i want car that FR and fun to drive..
