Okay, well.. the clutch master cylinder in my '98 HypeR was going out. Leaking enough to the point where I had to add fluid at least once week. I put off buying a new one for a little while (I know, I'm bad.), until recently. The problem is, the thing isn't leaking anymore! I've watched it closely for the past month or so, and it's been perfectly fine. Should I replace it anyway, or just assume that somehow the problem fixed itself? I’m kind of baffled about it. :ermm:
problems don't "fix themselfs" once the bore and the seal is worn to the point where it is leaking you need a new one... plain and simple.
Then why is it that it is no longer leaking? I've had no problems with the clutch what so ever. The only problem I've had is the reservoir losing fluid.
the seals swelled up maybe... look once a bore is scratched or worn or the seal is torn there is no "magic it fixed itself" you're just dicking yourself around if you think there is...
For one, I know there is no "magical fix". I've just heard things about Type Rs being like DSMs. Something is broken one day, you don't fix it, and you never have the problem again. Calm down.
