I just bought a 2000 ex coupe and I was wondering if it would look good with 17's and a 1 or 2 inch drop in the rear or should I drop the whole thing, I'm tring to avoid having to buy a camber kit. Thanks for any input!
Yeah I'm pretty sure I will, I've had a few friends that had badass civics but at that time I was into 4x4s but civics just looked to dam fun to pass up.
IMO don't go with 17s go with 16s, 17s look too balla and definitely dont have the ride quality of 16s
werd up on that. i have 17's and i hate them to death! which is why i'm going w/either a 15 or 16" wheel next summer. not to mention gas mileage is better, and u can definately go faster. but yes, definately lower the car all the way around. if u just lowered the rear it would look stupid and, if you just lowered the front, it would look funky too, cause then your ass would be all the way up in the air, and when u took corners at higher speeds, the back end would have a lot of unneeded roll. lower the whole car bro:thumbup:
also, if you lowered just the rear, your headlights would be pointing up and that is unsafe and illegal(well you'd probably get a fix-it ticket that would require you to go to an alignment place that would be a big hassle)... also it'd look like ass
also, negative camber does not necessarily mean you will get uneven tire wear... bad toe on the other hand...is the killer
I would highly advise 16s. I used to be into the big rims too because yea they look good but you will get much better performance out of a smaller rim. It costs less tires cost lest and you will accelerate faster. Now when I look at a honda with 17+'s I just think "slow...". SO TRUE! I went through 2 sets of brand new khumo's in the front in 4 months due to shitty toe.
