EGR Valve? - ECU Code 80: Exhaust Gas Recirculation

Question: Does my Integra have a EGR valve? I have a '97 LS.

My check engine light came on a week or two ago and I took my car to my mechanics house to see what code it was throwing. We got number #80, so we looked it up.

It says its the "Exhaust Gas Recirculation." What the hell does that mean? - He said he never seen that code before.

What do I need to do? Is that bad?

 

I been looking through my Haynes book, meant to tell you today what I read, I'll call you tomorrow and read off what it said.

 

Maybe something with the o2 sensor? I dunno.

 

I have it, need some rest, hopefully I can post it before I go to work...

 

im pretty sure the integra doesnt have a EGR... unless its a obd2 thing.

my old 94 integra never had it with the LS head or the GSR head... or i just didnt pay attention to it haha

 

i have the computerized mitchell manuals:

first there is no code#80
second i do not see a code for egr

so my deduction is #1 you guys pulled the code incorrectly
and #2 you dont have an egr valve

go to autozone and have a free obd2 scan performed
