I own a '02 sentra gxe, and i heard i can do a fwd sr20 conversion, but i have no idea what car has that engine, or how much it will cost me to buy it.
O.K. I did some research and i think the engine I'm looking for is the Nissan SR20DET GTIR. If anyone knows if this is correct PLEASE let me know.
that is from the Pulsar/Sunny/Sabre GTiR, but theyre AWD. you can: a) get the pulsar/Bluebird motor and swap the trans from a G20 or other FWD sr powered car. (not sure if its like the s13 where you can just swap bell-housings... assuming your car has a ka24) b) look for a sr20de from a Infinity G20 (91-96, 97-02<-EASIEST WAY TO DO IT!), (us spec - 95-99) 200sx, or B13 (91-94) Sentra SE-R and turbo it using Bluebird/Pulsar parts.
i hate when people pull back threads from 2 years ago, answering questions for users that havent been here in 2 years
I have a couple websites that you can check out for all fwd sr20dets. http://srownersclub.com/faq/faq_bluebird.asp http://phase2motorsports.stores.yahoo.net/index.html http://www.jdmenginedepot.com/ http://www.japaneseenginesimport.com/ the last two are sites just to find sr20det engines and the other two are for parts and what not.. hope this helps your searching alittle bit
Well youre in luck because I just so happen to own the last sr20 motor that nissan put in the 01 nissan sentra se 2.0. you can go with a sr20ve sr20de sr20det(turbocharged) sr20 blacktop or sr20 redtop. youre choice.hsnap:
