my buddy's 92 hatch with a jdm D15B vtec just put down 146whp lol. it happened like 10min ago and im pretty shocked. besides the usual i/h/e it has a Skunk2 cam. 146whp is about equal or a lil less than a stock B18C1. i wasnt expecting that kinda power jump.
not bad, the D15B is a great engine that most people forget about in the SOHC world with D16Z6s, D16Y8s, etc and the DOHC world with the B series. One variant had 3 Stage VTEC, with 130 horsepower
yeah i saw a pic of the 3 stage vtec motor and i freaked out lol. i was like "2 vtec solenoids on a single cam no fuckin way".
dude 3 stage vtec would be sick! My friend claimed he had a 2 stage vtec and I called bullshit on him cause I was like Ive never seen 2 vtec solenoids on 1 cam... I just didnt think it was possible cause the cam would have to be special too but what do ya know! ...he was lying still tho lol
