Hi I'm new to this forum, my name's Calvin and I own a Mitsubishi CZ1 I am wanting to change my current gear knob for an aftermarket one, maybe ones from Razo or something. But I noticed a prob The is what my gear stick looks like when removing the knob/stick, and looking at the selection on ShopResponse I've noticed that all knobs only actually come withthe top bit but not the stalk if you get me. If there any aftermarket/JDM gear knob replacement that is more suitable for my Colt? Any help would be appreciated. Calvin
Get Short Shifter and Shift Boot Also The Shift Knobs you see are used with Short Shifters and Shift Boots Also Take a Look at the Look like the Pictures Below.... Also Check out Ralli Art I Love this Picture ... You can buy UpGrade Parts from this Car Also.
Hi Calvin, welcome to JDMChat first of all. Now to your shift knob issue, uUnfortunately, you will probably never find a shift knob for a Colt with the long sleeve, we sometimes get the Ralliart ones from Japan but they too are just standard knobs. Your only hope would to go with a RAZO and perhaps make a custom tube or sleeve???
Thanks for your responses, what a shame...I really wanted to get rid of my standard look aswell. EDIT: what if I got a gear stick gaiter to cover the stalk bit? So instead of (as shown in the picture) slipping it on the gear knob itself, I use the cable tie to tie it on the actualy stick, leaving a little bit open to put an aftermarket knob?
Razo Knob FTW Get a Razo Knob then Leave Stock Boot and It will Look Like This... or You also can Take the Bottom Ring from your Stock Boot then Place It On Your New Boot To Make the New Boot Fit. The Ralli Art Knob and Boot Looks Like This... *Note how the Boot Comes All the Way Up.
Im thinking of getting this one. http://www.shopresponse.com/razo_ra42_shift_knob.html With the Gaiter that was shown above. What do you guys think?
Thanks it was either that one or the Greddy one. But do you think it'll work if I get the leather gaiter I showed above and cable tie it to the metal stick leaving a little room for the Razo on the top?
I think that would be your only choice to do what you mention with the shift boot. I think the RAZO RA42 would look better in my humble opinion.
