As another sign of just how different the wealthy live, Autoblog sibling Luxist posted a report from Guardian Unlimited about Paul Dalton and his car wash service, Miracle Detail.

Dalton, according to the news source, charges over a staggering $9,000 for his top-of-the line Pinnacle car wash. The near two-week, 52-step program includes citrus degreasing, filtered water, and many sponges and buckets. The car wax alone, at $13,000 a tube, costs more than the service itself. Dalton, however, points out that the service protects the car for a year.

No, I don't think he is using the full tube for the car. Perhaps the tube is enough for a several cars. I don't know. I doubt it cost $13000 his cost. His cost maybe a few hundred or so.

It probably slides right off with that " $13000 wax" though. Rich people are stupid. Anybody that believes that a detailing that this guy does will keep your car clean for a year is an idiot. You could get the whole car a fresh coat of paint and just give it a vacuum, and it would look brand new and cost less than $9000.
