Yes. It has been a weird, funky, goofy period. I have been busy moving, selling the infamous H22-swapped Accord, and buying not 1, but 2 Lexus IS300s. I am just settling back in to my old ways. I have also become quite the paintballer. I'm very competative in local tournaments, so over 2grand of my hard-earned cash has been dropped into a modded WorrGames Karnivor, and all the nessesary gear. Hell, my paintball hopper was $125 (Empire ReloaderB). Anyways, it's been too long. I'm sorry for the extended leave of absence, but it's good to be back.:rocks:
Here's the black one, that I just sold. It was an automatic, or E-shifter, as we IS'ers call them. It had Brembo brakes all the way around, Tien S-Techs, and a TRS carbon fiber lip spoiler. It was sexy as hell, but there were alot of issues with the title, and I was getting bored with the automatic. I sold the car out in less than a week, and had the previous owner ship the title to the next owner. I never saw the physical title. LOL!!! not too smart, but it worked out for the better. I just bought an 02 IS300 manual 5spd w/ LSD, but I haven't had any time to take some decent pics. I should have the car clean and ready for a decent photo shoot this Thursday or Friday. Expect some better pics than just this teaser.
very nice is300s!!!....show us some pics of the sweet paintball setup too ....i was starting to get into it a while back but when i did most of the interest died around then...its just starting to come back around here..... anyways a lil fftopic: welcome back
You know I heart my paintball gear. pic from the old owner. My setup. 05 Karnivor ZeroB (I run the T-board from time to time, but it has alot of full-auto bugs) St!ff! 16" dry carbon fiber barrel and full 12" Freak kit and mows faces. 18 Balls Per Second on semi, eyes off. Ramps at 15bps (tourney legal)
Welcome Back~ Nice to Hear From You again... What are your Future Plans For the IS? (I Thought you were Locked Up... :spitdrink: )
Locked up?!?!?!?!:spitdrink: Nah. I was falling away from custom cars, slowly but surely. It was a very expensive habit, and I felt like I was getting no where. Constant spending on keeping the car running was killing me, and keeping it on jackstands just ripped my heart out, every time I did it. Well, the IS will not be as wildly modded as the Accord was. No kits, no matter what. No GTE swap (unless absolutely nessesary. BattleGround Motorsports in ATL will do the swap for a grand, plus motor and extras, which would be around $3500+-). Maybe some Tien S-Techs, like what was on my black car. I'm just not into all the super-upkeep on a car that was modded to the extent that the Accord was. Definitely getting the JDM shorty antenna, Altezza sport grill (I've already got the JDM TRD grill, but it's a little too racy), SportDesign black chrome tails and headlights, and some staggered Volks.
LOL. the black car was sold two days before I bought my silver car. Sorry. I couldn't resist the manual tranny.
nice ride, with some deep dish rims that baby will look sweet! I wounder how fast it would be with a t3 turbo!:rocks: g2g now a problem just came to meooping:
T3s are WAYYYY too small the the 2JZ. They would spool while the car is idling. There are only 3 turbo kits out for the IS300, all between $4800-8K, and most basic kits rely on the TD04. Not a bad turbo, but most tuners replace it with a T66, pt51, T88, or T72 as soon as they can afford to. I'm waiting for the release of the new Turbonetics kit at the beginning of the year. T61 turbo (spools at 2700rpm), HUGE front mount, 650cc injectors, pre-tuned AEM EMS, BlueTooth accessible for tuning, 400whp, right out of the box. As far as rims, still debating between Volk GT-Us, SE37Ks, CE28Ns, Work Meister S1s, or SSR Professors. 18x7.5 up front, 18x8.5 in the rear no doubt. I'm just saving up and dreaming at this point.
