I got a question on the JDM/EDM gauge cluster..
Will the automatic cluster work on the 5speed?
Just wondering if the tachometer, rear window light, gas & temp will work the same. I just bought a auto cluster w/ the transtop switch (in case I ever decide to make that jump).. Let me know if you guys have experience or know for sure if it works..

    thanks

K answered my own questions.. had to hybrid the clusters to keep my dash/cluster lights working.. but they're all cherry now.. Carbon fiber trim made it 10X sweeter.. I just have to get used to KMH driving..

Too bad the damn transtop switch can't be cruzin in the spot tho.. Since the hazzard button is in the same place, and if I use the JDM hazzard button, its all the way over on the left hand side where my AUX lights are.. just can't do it.. These buttons are worthless, unless I relocate my aux light & heater switch.. I don't care about the cruise control since I disabled that thing when I changed my steering wheel.. Oh wells..

Just sharing my slow and painful progress from USDM->JDM
    Sorry if this is boring.

My other car was running on an auto cluster when I got it. It ran fine, but I don't know what the CELs were caused by since the motor blew shortly after :p

That's interesting maybe I can work around the CEL's with the p28 since it's programmable already.. :)

hey.. just noticed that the jdm cluster doesn't have a light dimmer knob..hmmm, does that mean it stays bright always???

When I plugged in mine, I didn't really see the backlight.. So I hybrid my cluster.. it's pretty easy to just unscrew the gauges that you need, (ie. kmh odometer and tach) and put them in ur usdm cluster with the backlight module.

everything works happily together, I used the JDM plastic covering so I could get the ((O)) instead of the BRAKE, i had to drill a hole for the dimmer switch, but everything came out pretty good. I don't have any pictures right now, but when I take some I'll post them.

Seems to be the best option for me, so I can get the best of both worlds..
