My 240 Buildup!

Ok guys well Ive been meaning to surprise you and here you go! I got this car off a friend for only $500 bucks. It needs some work like a full tune up and a new rear hatch cause its rusted, but I cant complain for that price! Ill keep you guys updated, wish me luck on the build! :woot:

on a different note, why the hell can't I find decent cars for $500!

 

Getting $500 dollar cars is all about word of mouth. You gotta tell people you are looking for a car and make sure to talk to old people cause there are always old people whos husbands or wifes die or whatever and they will sell a good car for $500, I have seen it so many times...

 

^ or just move to bama where no one likes modifying imports and people practically give them away.

Well since were trying to set a record number of posts in a short time I quess now would be a good time to give away another secret I was gonna surprise you guys with.

I should be picking up 2 of these rims + tires next week from the same kid for like $100 bucks...


Then I just need to find 2 more and Ill have a baller ass set of wheels!!!

Yea, well im ready to do some shopping. If I cant find em, fuck it, ill turn em into a coffee table for that price lol. Ill just hang them on my wall... I think theyre like 17s or 16s and theyre white. Where should I begin looking

 

I'm pretty sure they are 17's... and I'll go look and see if the set I saw on alltrac.net are still for sale
and $500 cars come from co workers that are trying to sell stuff to afford their own car lmao...

good luck my 240 experiance tell me that if you doubt the engine thats in get a new one or have it fully rebuilt, i had one i picked up for 300 awsome looking car hneede a new head gasket and minor things but i got it running for about anoter 300 and drove it about 6 months with only minor problems then the motor called it quit. not to say you'll have the same problem, but if i was going to do it agian i would start with as new of a motor as i could or rebuild it to start.

 

Youre the 2nd person who recommended swapping it out before i put too much money into it so I will keep that in mind for sure, first I wanna see what a nice tuneup will do for her though ya know

 

Ashley, I was lookin on craigslist and I saw those volks off that (ugly) 300z for sale for $150 for 2 of em and I was like woooo! BUT theyre 5 lug so wtf that doesnt do me any good. Are the ones your friend has these same rims he bought off the 300z guy? I hope theyre 4 lug... if I can get 4, 5 lug volks cheap tho, ill do a 5 lug swap tho lol.

 

the 240 is 4 lug?? uuuuugh -_- yea they are 5... just do a 5 lug swap, hahaha... Unless u want me to try to find some 4 luggys for ya >.<
