OK so I learned a lot about my car tonight... it was kinda crazy lol.

Basically, I went up to the car meet pretty late tonight with a few friends. After some talking, we decided to try my friends ecu in my car just to compare them. If you dont remember what my computer looks like it has a chip that has "Spoon" on it just on a piece of paper or some shit lol. My redline is 7200 which is stock too so ive always wondered wtf is up with my chip.

Anyways, I threw it in and took it for a spin on the highway. The new computer redlines at 8500 so I was just gonna get up to like 8 to test it. All I know is damn that shit blaazed compared to my ecu. After slowin down from like 110mph and pulling off to turn around I hear a ticking at the redlight. Im like OMG i fucked my motor... awesome.

I get back to the meet and my friend listened to it and we decided it was just my valves hopefully. Thank god hes the shit with b18s cause we ripped the valve cover off right there and after lookin at my valves HOLY HELL they were soo lose and not adjusted. He busts out a feeler gauge and adjusted them all right there tho lol! We also noticed one of my cams is off a tooth which would explain some funny things ive noticed ever since I got the new timing belt a few months ago.

Sooo tomorrow on go the new adjustable cam gears I got in the mail... aaand ill get the timing adjusted. I cant wait cause these new gears are hella light. That with the valve and cam adjustments and the new intake mani should be making some difference for sure.

I just ordered a new chip for my ecu too so 8500 here we come

Ok well I need to do a photoshoot but first I have to put on a few new parts. I got the skunk2 mani now and I got a new chip with 8500rpm redline in the mail. Here are some cam gears I got for $40 bucks! I color matched my spare valve cover and im gonna throw it on tomorrow while I paint my other VC wrinkle finish black. Here are the gears and the temporary VC.

Thanks guys. Well I havent updated my car in a while so I decided to get a few new things to get things rolling again.

Im gonna probably order a turbo kit next semester but until then I wanted to see if I could get some more power with a header that's not all flattened on the bottom. The exhaust flange I had welded on the exhaust seems like the inner dimension was really small when I had it off and Im sure its really restricting the flow so I picked up

megan racing headers, JDMshit.com polyurethane spoon replica lip, greddy oil cap and a personal steering wheel. Its all in the mail and should be here soon so ill post up pics once its installed.

 

I just splurged and got a baller ass steering wheel cause I needed it. Check it out
