ok so heres how it layed out

-the guy who had the totaled s14 wanted $500 for the 5 lug parts (including brakes and calipers)
-yesterday i realized i could get brank new cnc machined hubs with new wheel bearings for $500 total from TougeFactory.com (local shop, i can go pick them up)

so i told him that if im going 5 lug, then id much rather buy the new one for what he's charging or wait until i can find it around $300 tops

so here are my next options:

5 lug (much more wheel choices) - $500


4pt cage with cross bar and shoulder harness bar (also allows me to tandem at the track when i get good enough) - $460


cam and solid lifters (more power and no valve float at high RPMs) - $455



Peak Performance RUCAs, tension rods (more adjustability and much more solid) - $520



chassis bracing - $300



JDM front conversion - $700ish



so as you can see, im very undecided at this point. im leaning toward a roll cage but the idea of putting a cage in a car that has no motor work or aero seems weird.

 

oh, or upgrade my blown speakers for $200 :ermm:

 

Go with the roll cage and get that out the way already. Roll cages look sick! Then Motor work.

 

yeah its nice and all, but i dont know if i want that in my daily.

im kind of leaning toward the silvia front (considering my car is labled a silvia on the sides and rar also) for the fact ive always wanted that.

after the front end, i'll probably do audio, the suspension links, 5 lug, then the cage. i want to be happy driving my car first of all, and changing the front to the silvia front and upgrading the audio will make it a good DD for me.

time to go price one out.

yeah im liking that order. a good blend of DD upgrades and performance. after the cage, only then will i start motor stuff haha
