Still waiting for the main bearing cap bolts and valve springs/retainers for the head. I can't do anything without either.

Finally some real progress! Supertech valve springs and retainers came in, so I was able to put the head together.

    Bare head

New vs Old valvetrain (man the old stuff looks bad!)

All put in. I'm sending the head to be resurfaced and pressure checked. (reason the rockers and cams aren't installed)

Block is assembled. Just need to put the head on, and do the timing components.

Here's the sub assembly (that holds all the main bearings) sealed and placed on the block.

    Main bolts torqued +45° +45°

New pump (and stronger gear for 9000+RPM), pickup, and baffle installed

You can see the corner that cracked off, and was welded back in place in the top right of the first two pics. This is a non-structural part, and only has to seal the oil pan (which is sealed with RTV/FIPG/Hondabond anyway. This should not be an issue. You can also see a cracked thermostat housing, I have a replacement along with a new thermostat. No other cracks were detected on the block.

    FRONT: 16x7.0 4x100 offset +33
REAR: 16x8.0 4x100 offset +42 (super rare in 4x100, never seen another pair in the US, only 2-3 pairs in Japan)

3 are used, one front is new to replace the damaged one.

Rear 2 (some very minor scuffs)

    Front 1

Front 2 (will be made into a table or go on the wall in the garage)

Like I said, a new one is included for the replacement of "Front 2." I got them for a great price, which is cheaper than the cast Advan RGII's. Volk does make a 17x8 wheel for the Exige, which I might pick up to be the new rears, and move the 16x8's up front. :)

nice TE-37's. Where did you buy the 4th wheel? I bought 3 TE-37's a while back and I could never find the last one.

Well, the previous owner bought the replacement. I can get them where I work as well (official distributor for Mackin Industries). What size and color are you looking for?

Nope, it's a Duplicolor high temp paint meant for painting blocks/engine parts. We use it all the time at the shop I work at on rebuilt engines. Even with the parts that have been put in a parts washer, they still look better with a little paint on them :)
