Yup, SCCA Solo 1 compliant. I may add removable door bars later depending on what is needed the further I go in racing. Right now, this is all I need to drift, autoX, and attend HPDE's. I have some bills I need to take care of, so this is it until June. But, it will allow me to tack the car.
I've been so busy with everything, and have a terrible internet connection. Anyway, I went drifting this last weekend. Open diff and all! Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7nADDOEgxKM Only pic coming out of a turn other pics:
Who is that with the xB. I saw you guys pulling out of the Sears parking lot the other night. And is the 2ZZ in yet or what? lol
2zz is still on the stand haha. That's my friend Rob's daily driver. He drive's the Zenki S14 with white MB Battles. Took some pics after another Drift Day (I didn't drive)
I enjoy it. I usually go through one or two pairs tires per event (or somewhere in between). I think it's worth it. Tons of fun just driving and enjoying your car. No point in building something, and just cruising around on the street. I'm probably going to hit up 2-3 more drift events this year. I'm going to try to get in a HPDE type event in July or so, just to try that out. Maybe another autoX or two would help me a bit as well. This year I told myself that I am going to drive events a lot more, so I'm making an effort to do so, even if it keeps me broke. 2zz project took a back burner so I can drive. I only really need another $600 into that anyway, so if something happens to my stock 1zz, I can scramble and get that in the car if need be.
