As the title says, lets see how many Japanese themed movies (prefer movies not made specifically for Japan). Post only 1 movie per turn, no consecutive posts! Please post a pic if you can as well. I'll start. Mr. Baseball - Tom Selleck
sumi masen, o genki desu ka? How about Tora! Tora! Tora! a classic movie about the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor...a good old movie
Black Rain - Michael Douglas and Andy Garcia Great movie, New York Detectives escort a Yakuza gang leader back to Osaka, Japan for conviction on murder and counterfeit charges. Must see.
i am not sure if this one qualifies...The Ring, i know it has nothing to do with Japan, but it is originally a Japanese film, like The Grudge (i.e. Ju-On).
ok, we will let that one slide, but you can do better than thatoke: . Where's the pic?:slap: Brother - Omar Epps, Defunct Yakuza boss has to flee Japan and goes to Los Angeles to meet his half brother (not Omar Epps). Good movie.
the pic isn't showing? i'll fix it in a bit... in the meantime, i've been wanting to throw this one out there, but wanted to wait my turn Memoirs of a Geisha, i really love this movie:woot:
Nobody Knows Nobody Knows - A really great movie, nominated and won many awards at the Cannes Film festival. Based on a true story about a Mother who abandons her 4 children (all different fathers) in a small Tokyo Apartment. A must see.
