hey so how does that offset work anyways? -30 means it has the hub 30(mm?) inside of the outer lip or something?

 

basically it pushes the wheel outward with a lower offset. hope that helps

a 8" wide wheel wheel with a 0 offset will be right in the center of the rim's width. now, keeping the same 'back spaceing' (space between the mounting flange and the inner lip) but going to a 10" wide wheel will need a lower offset to keep the wheel from hitting the suspension, and it will push the outer lip away from the center of the car.

so a 15x10 with a -18mm offset will have the same strut clearance as my stock wheels that are 14x5.5 +39. it would just make the outter lip deeper and fill in my fenders and flares.
