Must be a 64-66 GTO or Lemans in the last pic?

Went to the track. No major issues, just trying to keep the motor from breaking up and not breaking things. Ran a 10.5x, then 10.34, then 10.30, all while not making all it's power. They went again the following Sunday, broke second gear, dropped a valve, and totaled that motor (fucked up head and block). Time for a rebuild... again.

    dude, that's not cool...

can you rebuild, or can you throw the engine on the scrap-heap?

dropped valve destroyed the combustion chamber in the head. Not worth even trying to fic that. Did the same to the piston. Nicked the cylinder wall pretty good too. You can bore it to 86.0mm, but then the walls are too thing for boost. You can re-sleeve it, but you may as well re-sleeve a new block. The other motor is already together.

what engine are you rollin in the EK?

    B series?

I'm thinking about buying up a totalled ek-ferio with a stock B18, than I can swap the engine and the breaking system...

but I can't say that for sure..

    :woot:

Damn.. Ow, how I wan't an engine bay like that :p

Past Sunday (5th of sept) we had the Japanese Autosport Festifal on the TT-circuit in Assen.

They did some 400 meter shootout's..

The fastest time was 8.09 sec's with a Civic EG.. :)

One of the favorit's with CRX (K24-turbo) didn't run, 'cause the ECU crashed.. :(

We will be dynoing this RB20 powered S13 soon, as soon as we figure out why it won't connect with Nistune.

Armando lost second, and dropped a valve a few weeks back in the EK drag car
    [IMG]

Good thing he had a spare motor that just needed to be put together. Bad part is that he spun a bearing on it :( Done for the year.

    We have turbo's and T-shirts!

too bad, about Armando's engine.. :(

    --

A little wile ago, some guy had a K20/turbo in his EG.. on stock D15 brakes, and no further engine mods...

take a guess.... before he burned up his brakes, he blew up the engine (to muck pressure..) :p
