oh theyve started, its just very very slow. :banghead: ive decided to drop the head off at the machine shop to make sure i have a flat surface for my new HG. i just need it to last til the SC motor goes in (after i gather enough money to get one). im not too concerned with the block because it's iron. and aluminum warps a hell of a lot easier than iron :spitdrink: so yeah, ill be calling machine shops today as well as titan motorsports (9 second supra guys) because my ARP head studs still arent here!!! :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious:
fuckin' summit racing to the rescue! i cancelled the titan motorsports order and ordered the arp studs from summit (who has them in stock! imagine that for this common motor) and they will be here in 2-3 days vs titans "uh... they should arrive here any day now. then we will ship them out to you." head is at the machinist's, and now i sleep. :coffee: over 24hrs of being awake now and i get to wake up in2-3hrs to drive my mom home from work since im borrowing her car :hithead: :hithead: :hithead: :hithead:
nice car keep up the good work and that is what a real car is all about breaking shit and replacing it with better shit not the shit u see on tv when they got all the tools and all the parts and money they need
haha thanks. that tv shit is so fake. we're not all made of money! on a different note, i just put down money for a supercharged motor. im picking it up the weekend of the 3rd. everything included minus an intercooler and maybe an ecu. should be fun

yeah, kinda excited about the SC motor. there goes my wheel money though oh well, i need to buy winter tires for the stock wheels in a month or two anyways side note, i was reading crash reports. the aw11 is, as another mr2 owner put it, "(according to the report) statistically significantly more likely to severely injure or kill its occupants in a crash, compared to other cars in its class in similar crash scenarios." :spitdrink: and my HG and shit should be mostly done by tomorrow. got the arp studs in today and ive been cleaning/painting parts and getting it all ready for reinstallation.
almost done. (im a bit OCD) still have some stuff to install and need to clean the bay before other things get put back.
she runs again. tomorrow = coolant fill and timing (with light) then drive her around and check for problems
she's alive! small coolant leak (i think im missing a bolt) and shes LOUD because of an exhaust leak (right behind the header). but she moves :] oh, and she has a rough idle because it WAS leaking where the coolant goes into the idle control valve. but i replaced the hose with the oem one (i had one of those clear nylon ones with the strings in side, for lack of better discription) anyway, i should probably put the engine cover back on... (wonder if it's illegal for me to leave it off like a front engined car?)
found another leak. (fuckin 20 year old o-rings and gaskets) injector #2 is leaking BAD. luckily i caught it before enough gas was on my IM to leak down on my exhaust.... causing a fire hsnap: hsnap: luckily again, i have a complete gasket kit (didnt realize injector o-rings were included :hithead:
haha... nice blown o-rings >.< Toyotas suck when it comes to lil shit like that -_- car is looking very nice though
