Pulled over and got a ticket cuz my exhuast!!!! AHH!!!!!

I just got pulled over and got a ticket for my exhaust

$112!!!! For a 1st modified muffler(WTF!!!) system to increase noise:help:

What should i do guys go back to the stock one????? The cop said its illegal the one i got and that a 50 state street legal exhaust is illegal too they just say its legal so you'll buy it SO plz some suggestions!!!!!

well you did better than i did when i got pulled over for a loud exhaust. i got arrested for driving on a suspended license...

there's muffler systems out there that fall below the 93dB range. you could go with a system that uses a stock looking muffler with larger diameter piping. i'm thinking of doing something similar on my sedan, just to save myself the hassel later on. my fricken exhasut system is loud as fawk right now, and it's irritating the shet outta me. it's wierd cause it only got louder after i cleaned my k&n filter, lol. more airflow for teh win.

 

what about a mugen twinloop?

 

They dont make the mugen twinloop for the D-series not to mention they're expensive as hell.

I'm not definitely sure but by 50 state street legal, they're usually saying that its SMOG legal and that you'll pass emissions, not that it is necessarily under the requisite 93db.

Ive gotten an exhaust ticket before too. And these pigs let harley davidsons drive all over the place too, its bullshit. I have the greddy sp2 and yea its quiet but not quiet enough to keep you from getting a ticket... Tickets are just a part of tuning cars, you have to live with that kinda shit.

 

My exhaust was prob over a 100db it was so ungodly loud but i live in a small city and that cop said that if i didnt get it back to the way it was stock that next time the ticket is $200 and then $400 and then jail timehsnap: and the washington state law does state that you cant make any exhaust louder than it is stock so even though it does say 50 street legal if its at all louder than stock then im gonna get fuked by that pig again.......so im gonna leave my 4-2-1 header going into a cat that is hallowed out and through my resinator which is hallow too and get a stock muffler so i can get the ticket dropped...............................Looks like i got OWNED:slap: (cop is the left smilie):roflmao:

 

I hate cops, dont they have anything better to do? I got 6 tickets in my first 7 months driving and only 1 was a moving violation. They just harassed the shit out of me when I had my hatchback. I got 2 tickets for the same thing, tinted plate cover, from the same fuckin cop within 2 weeks of each other when I even video taped him (secretly) the first time I got pulled over and I have him saying I had 30 days to fix it, I gave him attitude and he slapped me with an exhaust ticket too.

 

ive gotten 3 exhaust tickets...talked my way outta 3 and got 1 on monday for no exhaust open resignator...but got that fixed due to just buying the car on sat ( 2 days proir).....good luck man....thats why i just run stock for now...aftermarket is nice but damn....the cop harrassment just isnt worth it...esp around here
