regular eg lips on a sol?

do most of the 2/3dr eg front lips fit on the del sol? i've heard some of them do but i'm not 100% sure..

i tried to put a type r style lip for a eg hatch on my sol and it was about 1/2 to short on each side

 

yeah i read that a while ago, it was for the oem honda lip so i assumed that most other aftermarket lips would fit..

 

With the Type R style lips you gotta get them for a 99-00 EK hatch and they fit perfect. Pret-Sol and a few others on Honda-Tech are running them and he suggested to me this year lip hsnap:

EG front lips can be fitted but are not as easy as EK lips.. EG lips have a small piece that goes into the area where the grill is, EK lips don't have it, they fit flush in front..

A Type R lip for the EK is plug and play deal on the sol.. we had to fab some mounts near the center so it wouldn't be all wobbly but it came out great.. from side to side it fits perfectly..

 

The link to the team delsol website does'nt seem to work anymore.
Does anyone have the Honda part numbers for the EK lip, I have the Honda Parts Catalogue but want to be sure I order the correct part.

i just bought a ek (96-98) type r lip and it didn't fit very well on the sol. it was too long into the wheel well, about and inch or so... i exchanged it for an eg 4dr. lip and that fit alot better except for these little bends around the curve of the bumper which i trimmed out and i made some mounts to pull it in because it left a tiny gap. but to my surprise the eg fit a hell of alot better than the ek..??? weird ..but oh well it kind of works so far.

 

Is the '99 - '00 Si lip supposed to fit?

 

Yes, if it was designed for a civic 99-00 bumper, it will fit a del Sol bumper also..

 

anyone have a site or place where they bought an ek type r lip that fits on the del sol.. my eg one is a little off and the tabs i made to hold back the gap wont hold..

I got mine only this week direct from Honda, the part number shown in the Team Del Sol is correct, but I'm goiong to take my bumper off to fit it.
I think it will be easier to drill the holes

 

Mount it and take a couple of pics.. did you get the mud flaps?

 

i use a 99 civic lip on my del sol...not too short like the eg & ek4 lips
