There not very expensive. pretty much every major r/c manufacturer makes a drift chassis now like HPI, AE, etc... i think the best looking ones are the Yokomo cars. some come with the pre-painted D1 GP bodies. I was one of the people that was pretty serious into it a few years back in 00. my last car that i was running costed roughly $1200 for a full setup, which only saw 4 weekends of track time. i have tons of r/c cars laying around haha. if it wasnt for the sponsors i couldnt have afforded half of the crap i have! Yokomo cars are ~$300 off their website http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AIBYd28GUC4 ^amazing detail http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dyzMuOk6fTc&feature=related
Dude, I have to get one of those. I used to be totally into rc cars, I still have a nitro car but these look like a lot of fun. Watch this video, its awesome! http://www.youtube.com/v/Ggqg6q5xegE&rel=1
Yokomo Yea~ Yokomo got a Large List of Detailed RCs, Thats where Im Gonna Order From... <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/92LRWQbOuQg&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/92LRWQbOuQg&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>
yeah i got a nitro stadium truck i have run it one the track once i am trying to sell it it is wicked fast i need the money to buy a car now so it needs to go i only spent 300 on it plus like another 300 for parts an shit but it will go 65 mph and can jump really high
ya i debated on getting one but didnt see spending the extra money at the time. a cheaper alternative is to find a used Associated TC3 (super good grip touring car if you get the itch to go racing) or a TC5, TC4s sukz. and then just get the drift tires and a Yokomo body (i think they will fit just fine but not 100% sure). electric is better for drift cause of instant torque. nitros can drift as well its just a bit more difficult cause of the clutch and powerband of the engine. not to mention a pain in the ass if you dont know how to correctly tune it. ~*NOTE*~ most all r/c bodies come clear and not painted unless noted**
yeah iwasnt drifting my nitro but in my area there is a indoor dirt track an outdoor dirt track and an indoor carpet track so we dont really drift but i have seen it an it looks fun but i am getting out of it
