ok on jdm side markers for the del sol, are they supposed to light and blink with the turn signals, or just blink. they are only 2 wires so theoredically they should only blink because the wirre colors match that way with the blinkers.. mine just blink with the blinkers and dont light when the lights are on.. i dont know i would like them to do both, but i would have to get a three wire harness. am i right or wrong, or am i just dumb..:help:
good question!!! i just ordered jdm side markers and i want to know also... btw what side markers did you get, i got the EG civic side markers
technically, they are only sposed to blink when you have your signals on, or your emergency flashers on. haveing them on with the parking lights would drain more power from your battery over time, not to mention you'd be replacing those bulbs more often than you'd have to if they just came on during use of the turn signals. but, i guess you could just splice into the wire for your parking lights, and wire it up so that the sidemarkers have a constant power source with your lights switched on...however, you're right as you still need three wires coming from the sidemarker to the powersource, to accomodate the signal function/sidemarkers on with the lights on...you'd also need a different bulb for that type of application...similar to the bulbs used for the front and rear turn signals which have dual functions. good luck yo
exactly.. just seemed strange to me because my friend oneoffaccord has them on his cb, they are 3 wire and stay on and blink, so i wonder why the eg ones just blink..oke:
yup go with the eg/dc side markers.. they are the same. the ek's are more rectangular. good luck, they're real easy to instal
They are called side indicators in the UK and are fitted & wired to work with the turn signal only , the guy with the lights on & blinking would´nt be allowed in the UK as they could be confused as a turn signal. My Sol is a JDM SiR & they were fitted as standard on mine as well.
