Teg Down!!!!!

Well i was coming home Saturday night, just one more block till i get home and my car just decides to shut off while am driving. I try to start it and the turns on for like less then a second and then it dies out. Then i start to notice that when i put the key in the "On" position my lights (Check engine, Brake, Seatbelt, etc.) on the dashboard don't come on like they always do. Ok, well i call AAA to come pick up my car, they asked me what's wrong with it and i tell them and show them. They said it might be my Fuel pump, that the engine isn't getting any gas to it. Well what do you guy's think it might be?? Please Help!!

 

Check the fuses underneath the hood (the big block ones), not under the dash. They rarely go out but once in while they do.

 

If it was a fuse or relay I dont think the car would start back up at all. Fuel or ignition problem, sounds like fuel to me too but its hard to say.

check compression, spark, and fuel before buying anything.

 

I am wondering why the dash lights don't come on anymore though???

 

They come on if i turn the key very slowly backwards from the "On" position to the "Off" position where i can slide the key out. And once the lights come on, i leave it in the "On" position. I try and start the car, but it does the samething, turns on but then turns off. Kinda get what am saying? Sorry if am not making any sence.
