ok so i have a friend who has a sohc vtec del sol. his engine is running strong with cams and pistons and such and now he has a jrsc for it. so his question to me was:"what can i do to make it faster, and what are the best JDM or USDM parts for it?". so knowing that you guys are super smart i decided to ask. what would be the ultimate sohc set up with the JRSC if you could do what ever you wanted. and please no "id swap a K20!!". he has a K24 sitting in his shop for another project. he is wanting to build the d series a little more. thanks guys!!
Get the smallest pulley for it, good tune with Hondata, port and polish the head, 4 2 1 header, bigger tb, just a few
In His Next Shop Project... If you Really Want a Noice D Series I Suggest Fully Building It then Adding a Turbo Charger...:help: ~SAVE The SOHC~ :help: Here is an Article Link Where a 400hp D-Series Motor is Conceived But Since You Mentioned ~ I am a fan of the JRSC, just bolt it on and forget about it... As you can afford fuel upgrades you can always swap out your pulley to up the boost. Definately not as much power gains as the average turbo kit, but definately more reliable and less of a hassle.... But for the money (new and used) the gains are better from a turbo or nitrous depending on how much you want to spend and how much power you want. The SC leaves little to no upgrades possable but has pretty decent Power
Jackson Racing Supercharger, sickest set up ive seen of a D was 460 whp but it was boosted, 400 hp with SC unlikely
All you need Is a Y8 Block With Z6 Head Vitara Pistons and Eagle Rods, Turbo and a real good tune and BAM!!! 400WHP i think its like 23psi will get you there http://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1719843 :woot: D FTW!!!
