I personally have Two Favorites that I use... To get a Quality Long Lasting Shine I use... www.shiningmonkey.com But If I want a High Gloss Dripping Wet Look I use... Black Magic Tire Wet (Extreme Wet) http://automotive.hardwarestore.com...es-and-waxes/black-magic-tire-wet-234872.aspx
i dont use tire shine for the fact its horrible if it gets on your paint. i was talking to a painter who was telling me about it. no shine for me
agreed, also it changes the chemical composition of the rubber in your tire to make it shinny... i don't like that idea at all. i like my grip
I dont use any, it either leaves a vaseline like coating that attracts dirt until the next time you wash it even if you wipe it down after applying,or it makes your tires look like chocolate donuts eventually.
Working at advance auto parts, Ive tried a ton of different tire shire sprays aerosols, foams and all that other bullshit and never really liked any of it. I decided to try this new aromor all extreme tire gel and it works suprisingly better than most of the other shines. Most tire shines splash all over your car of you put too much and it makes black spots, the sprays end up on your paint one way or another too. This stuff does none of that and shines for weeks. I washed my car a week after putting this stuff on and after just wiping the tires down they were shiny again. Try it! Do I sound like a sales person or what lol!
i use this stuff on my tires and works good. i spray it on after i buff on a coat of wax and spread it evenly onto my tires with an old rag. after applying the tire shine i can buff off whatever overspray there is that got on the car when i buff off the wax. i never have problems with this stuff splashing onto the car afterwards. it works great on unpainted exterior trim pieces too (i.e. door moldings, side skirts, mud gaurds) Mothers "Reflections" Tire Care. it smells good too
but you only apply the tire shine crap to the sidewalls of your tire, so i don't know how that would affect your grip. and i've never had a problem of my tires deteriorating faster after using tire care products over a prolonged period of time. if anything, the tire care/shine stuff is going to preserve your tire a little longer, so it doesn't dry up and crack...unless you use some really crappy stuff. i'm not saying you're wrong though
i use some stuff from autobacs. it comes in a black can.. aerosol. after you spray in on it evaporates a little but makes your tires look new, not drippy (hate that) not greasy (hate that too) just black and clean. and another thing, it comes out freezing cold.(???) when you spray it on an applicator it makes your fingers cold as shit...er..uh..ice i mean. ill try to figure out what the name is.
has anyone tried tire shine inside their wheelwells? i use turtlewax tire shine in my wheel wells and they are so clean and super black. i don't think foam would work though
