last night me and my boys were chillin and we started talkin about our first honda lol. i think anyone who is into hondas has had a crx or ef hatch at one point. all of our click has. my first honda was a 90 Si hatch. i bought it back in 01 for a couple hundred bucks. it was a disaster lol. it had black bumpers the rear interior was gone the center console was missin along with the rubber boot around the shifter(drivin home you could see the ground lol) it was on 2 13in steelies and 2 donuts but the motor and tranny was still good. i got lucky at the junkyard cause they had just brought in a smashed 99-00 Si. i yanked the motor and the wheels immediatly. and i found another hatch with all the rear plastics and center console. in the end i had a ugly ass hatch with a B16A2 motor with a YS1 tranny and Si wheels lol. i eventually had it painted epb then it went black. and keep in mind this was back in 01(my 10th grade year) nobody really had a EF hatch with a B16 back then that was some off the wall shit lol.
my whole honda thing started with my EH2 delsol. i was always the mustang guy and didnt give a crap about any honda. i bashed on them all the time because everybody around here made them look, well :googly: and yes i was one of the asshats that drove up to ricers listening to Misfits - Mars Attacks to tell them they had a nice spaceship, can it hover? then bak in like 03 i finally picked up a sport compact magazine. story was like JDM Supercars battle on the Wangan. there was this sweet yellow rex that was all clean and nice so i bought the mag and showed it to the guys at school to say "this is how a honda should look" they said it looks stock, i was like "exactly" the thought died out till back in 05 till i got my sol and then the whole JDM bug bit me again. i was late in the game with the import scene but im glad im here now lol. and thats how i got into all this honda ish sorry bout the novel but i was bored
my first was my 92' accord which i still have to this day. getting it re-done form the past 2 years now, but i've had it since high school. i bought a crx with a blown motor in it, a long time ago with plans for a re-store, but i got rid of it.. it needed way too much work. i had an 88' accord coupe for 2 winters that a bought for 500$ and drifted everywhere. i dontated that.. it was on its way out but i got my money out of it. then i bought the del sol about 3 years ago.. and thats where i sit today. the accord and the delsol. i'm never selling either..i'm just gonna keep colleting. next car..either another crx, but in better shape or a CD chassis accord wagon.
1992 honda civic si (EH3) bought it for $1800 no motor or rear seats. puttin a d16z6 in it as we speak but it's winter so it's gonna be a pain in the ass. first car i bought mith my own money and i'm never gonna sell it.
My first honda would be a 1994 EH2 (civic cx hatch) Then I totalled it and got my 94 EJ1 (civic coupe)
mine was a '98 civic coupe with a '00 front end conversion, painted super sonic blue pearl with a fully built ls/vtec!!! man i miss that car (here ya go ryan i had these pics of it!)
me too! i wish i could see it now that its turbo'd. one of the best looking coupe i've ever seen. and i dont like coupes! my first honda was a super clean charcoal gray 87 Accord Lx-i sedan. i need to get pics scanned and posted.
my first, also the first car i baught was a Midori Green 1996 civic hatch. it was slammed, sohc vtec, cai, custom 2.5 exhaust, 15" slips flat black, spoon wing,and lots more but those are the highlights. and man do i miss that car. it was awsome. ive been looking to pick one up agian but i has to be midori as the original color. ! note ! the car had no tags because i had just got back from korea and the tags expired while i was gone sence then ive had 2 crx's still have one, this is the one i have now a 91 civic hatch, a 95 coupe i installed a b16 in, and a 98 crv. i have more pics at home. will maybe post later i think my civic years are gone but could come back i i ever find a midori hatch again. looking to sell the crx i have and crv in a couple of years and get the wife an rx300 or a ridgeline, i like the rx300 and she likes the ridgeline, not that i dont like it but its not guite an suv and not quite a truck. plus if she get another suv i has to be something i would drive just in case we had to switch cars for some reason and i wont drive 99% of american suvs.
