hey! this is my jdm'd '95 del sol.. check it out, there is alot more mods to come.. full extravaganza of jdm manuals and recipts.. with my boys te-37's diamond black :rocks:
yeah, still am for the time being... its my daily driver, i've been working on another car too for a while but once things calm down with that i have a b16 waiting..
i have to be honest...im not feelin the red flex loop and the red hoses, BUT it is a clean ass car! props for that!
not to be overly critical or anything, but the Kanji plate you have on the front of your car is supposed to be on the rear. unless my computer screen is just blurry, cause my computer screen is a little screwy right now. maybe it's the same single plate in both pics? anyways, the one with the button on it goes on back, and the one without goes on front. just thought i'd tell ya since you are going for that JDM look and all. hope i didn't offend ya bro, just making an honest comment aloha
cool, i thought it went on the front, i've seen a few other cars with it on the front.. i'm not even sure what its for maybe a reflector of something..but hey thanks!
nah, the button (let's see if i remember correctly) ...well, in Japan they use camera systems and radar sensors over the roadway to control speeders...so if you speed and the camera/radar catches you, you get a ticket sent to you in the mail. i believe that the radar speed sensors shoot a beam to that button as you pass the radar sensor, if you are speeding, cause the button holds your info in it as well (i.e. name, address, etc.). the beam then get shot back up to the computer where the radars are mounted and your vehicle/personal info gets logged into the system...and eventually you get your speeding ticket in the mail. i may be wrong, but that's what i always thought that little button was for...but yah, the plate with da button is for the back of da car now you can let everyone else know who has their plates done up wrong that way they can be "real" JDM rock on:rocks:
another thing to add...when you drive on the road and are approaching a radar, if you are speeding the radar detector will warn you ahead of time by flashing the words "slow down" on an led screen located above the roadway, usually located either with, or near the radar detectors/cameras. and if you don't slow down, you get a ticket obviously. when we used to race in okinawa, we would avoid the radars...the radars would only be located in certain spots, so you just had to know where they were so as to not get ticketed. on the expressway it was rumored that the JPs (Japanese Police) had undercover vehicles that were highly tuned patrolling the expressway. if they caught you speeding, a little police light would pop out of the roof...some of my okinawan friends told me about that. normally JPs won't chase you down if you're speeding, especially if your car is faster than their patrol car. but like i said, the whole thing with the button, i may not be 100% correct, but it makes sense to me. but hopefully someone can find the true purpose of the little button on the rear Kanji plate i've been trying to find a pic of what the radar detector looks like that i'm talking about, but i can't find one anywhere peace.
