hey! i joined this site because i'm going to be visiting japan next year. aaaaand i like JDM shit. anyways, here's my baby. her name's vanessa. i bought her in florida when i lived there a few months ago. i moved to ohio in the middle of winter and learned to drive RWD in the snow. poor car.. hehe. (mine is the first one) the only car i've owned with JDMness..an SR20det swapped 240sx. (i swapped it myself, with the help of some friends ) the front bumper looked like complete and total crap. otherwise, she was pretty clean. her name was sophie. anyways, yeah..i'm a dork, i name my cars.
Welcome to JDMChat! nice cars! i wish it would snow here! sounds like an absolute blast!! enjoy the site!
nah, you're not a dork, my car's name is Rhonda. Welcome to the site, and i like both cars. teh pink valvecover was da shizz (Yashio Factory)...i'm rocking a limegreen VC right now.:rocks: snow is fun to drive in, but at least it's starting to warm up now up here, thankfully. ***fixed your pic of the miata lineup BTW:thumbup:***
thanks for all of the warm welcomes. stop calling me dude and man..my name is ashley, haha. pink valve cover? miata? come on.. haha. as for japan, i can choose from Okinawa city, Takatsuki, or Tokyo. someone directed me to this site actually to ask around about what city would be the best to choose from. i'll be there for 3-5 months.
hsnap: lmao!! out of those 3 places i would go to Tokyo. and to be there for 3-5 months is gonna be awesome. i was there for 2 days and it sucked cause i was jet-lagged and i didnt get to see much. what months are you planning to come over? if you are planning to come in July or aug i would not go to Okinawa city. they get alot of typhoons. aug is typhoon season. and July is monsoon season. so if you like rain everyday then...dozo! lol! and tokyo will give ypou something to do for 3-5 months! lol! theres alot to see there! good luck!
^ damn..well..i was going to go from june-august of next year. if the weather sucks that bad i can always go another time. i didnt even think of that, haha.
im sorry! lol! i didnt want to "burst your bubble" to say. but that would suck to come over and be under and umbrella the whole time! if you came over in april and stayed till june, you'd get to see the cherry blossums. and the weather is much less humid then. right now is ideal traveling weather. and no humidity. so walking around now would be a pleasure! today here in sasebo it was like 70,(daytime high) august is sooo humid!!
no, i'm happy you told me. i could always take that quarter off and go there april-june. i'll have to check the dates on when their schooling starts there..and see if any start in april. it's a three month quarter over there, i just need to see if their times line up with mine. how's the winter there?
i would say go to Okinawa, I loved it when i lived there...but like dbendel said, you'd want to steer clear of typhoon season(even though the typhoons i went through were pretty weak.) Tokyo/mainland Japan would be your best bet, there's is always plenty to do and see. and sorry about calling you "man" lmao...i've known some guys to have teh pink valvecovers...like i said, Yashio Factory.
the winter here (where im at) is mild. it hardly ever snows. and when it does its only a dusting, and melts almost instantly. the temp gets down to like 38 or 40. its really not too bad. but it is a bit chilly.
Try Tokyo in Sept-Nov, the weather is nice and cool. Summer can be sticky and uncomfortable, but the nights are great during that time if you wish to go out a lot.
welcome ashley... i knew they would give you some insight... sky oh and this is the first time i have seen either of your cars cool
