sick hatch dude. dont put in a b16, waste of money imo, if your gonna spend that much just go o the b18. A lot more power torque and fun, for jsut a little extra

To be honest i love the D16z6 its really a strong engine but i have over 230k miles on it and is about to leave me thats why the swap.

i wanted an H22a in the hatch but i want to have my AC and power steering (h22a out the door swap 3200 )
so i looked to the B18c and well for the b16a i get 170Hp 113Trq 10.4 Compression for (out the door swap 2600), and for the B18c i get 180Hp 126Trq 10.6 Compression (out the door 3800) so for $1200 more im my opinion not worth the money if I’m not going to race plus I’m putting that extra money for a competition Head work (http://www.ericksracing.com/id68.html) and a complete supertech valve kit just to have a long lasting free flowing b16a.

again nothing against the B18c is just that knowing myself ill end up putting ITR parts in the engine and my project will never end and also I feel that I got more bang for the buck going down this rout if in case I want to add turbo.

Please feel welcome to input your opinions as I will love to know what you think and also reinforce my bang for the buck theory.

I believe you can keep AC with the H22 swap. I was looking into it with my DC4, and I thought I read somewhere that you just need a bracket to make it work.

on my research of the H22A on an EG6 i found out that i need it to spend a bit more on the suspension as my eibach springs lowered my car just right and they are not adjustable so with the added weight i will need to invest some more $$$.

thanks for the info i may still look up the bracket just in case i have a change of heart and in case my investment gets a BAIL OUT deposit.
