New to JDM Chat

Hello everyone. I am new here I am on many forums so if you see my name cookiecrisp that is me. I own a 1993 Honda Del Sol. I bought the car about a year ago after a friend of mine told me his buddy was selling it after a minor accident which bent the fender and busted the front bumper. I have been slowly buying parts for it to get it better than new. I am building an ls/vtec turbo motor for it sleeved bored and stroked and once the motor is finished I will be buying coil overs for it new brakes all around. So once I have a solid motor the actual car will be taken care of. Here is a pic in its current condition and the motor before it was dismantled and will by late summer hopefully sooner be near to completion. Motor should be done by January so i will do a build thread for that when the time comes on how to properly build an ls/vtec turbo. :woot:

BTW: the stock b18b 89mm crankshaft is for sale so pm me if interested it is in good shape.

Me to I think it will be fun and hopefully pretty fast. I am trying to figure out how to build a vage into the car so if you have nay suggestions on how to do it go to the del sol fourm and look in cage for del sol and leave a reply i want to get all the ideas i can

Sho nuff but I am actually doing ls/vtec but I guess it would still be considered ls. Jusshatched that is an awesome name.

Yeah the ls.vtec has been around a while but the b series is an awesome motor and the new k is awesome but it is not reasonable for the money they are going for now imo but it would be very cool to have one.

 

you will have tons of fun on boost. like a month ago my del sol had a turbo Gsr set up. it put down 381whp@14psi on a stock bottom end. i was pushing the limits of the stock internals lol so i just went B20/vtec. im not puttin out as much power but its a lot more fun to drive though.

 

Im sure i will. lol You definatly have a nice setup puttting down good numbers, i bet coming out of corners is real fun.
